Our three double bedrooms all feature sumptuous beds with pure wool bedding, Roberts radios, satellite television, free wifi, filtered spring water, Bath House toiletries and an area to sit and read or just enjoy the views.
This top floor bedroom is characterised by oak beams and a French style mahogany double bed. South facing, it is a light and cosy room with blue, red and burgundy soft furnishings. The bathroom reflects those tones with its dark oak flooring, deep blue painted bath and light porcelain tiles. Millmount is named after a farm in Ireland where Fiona’s father spent much of his childhood and dreamed of becoming a farmer.
At the far end of the top floor, Kundaly has lovely views of Winder Fell. Decorated in soft greens, pale gold and gentle reds, this is a very restful space. With a luxurious double upholstered Corbeille bed and an antique chaise found in a Mumbai market, this is a cosy but indulgent room. Lie in the bath and look up at the night sky, or watch the sun rise over the hills from the bedroom. Kundaly is named after a tea planters club in the hills of Munnar in Kerala where Graham grew up.
Our largest double, Camellia is a light and sunny room with a door leading out to a small terrace with the garden beyond. Yellows and soft blues compliment its southerly aspect with splashes of bright yellow and gold in the large and indulgent bathroom. This bedroom has a Superking Hypnos bed with an Orthos Cashmere mattress that will regulate your temperature while you sleep. This room is named after Camellia sinensis, the species of evergreen shrub whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea.
